One day I will be able to draw detailed, full-color scenes without wanting to weep with frustration. Today is not that day.

I think there are about three competing vanishing points in this scene. I kept accidentally erasing them and forgetting where they had been.

I don't know why, but I trust that bartender.

I love the details in it.

Honestly I don't think anyone can draw detailed, full-color scenes without weeping angrily at some point

I like the idea of varying vanishing points in this piece - its kind of like being in a saloon.
Similar to ubiquitous gaze, it calls the viewers perspective into question especially with the tilt of the picture.

Love the style ;)

Even with the competing vanishing points it looks nice. I think that competitiveness gave it a curved look. A rather neat effect.

This piece is very reminiscent of Les Triplettes de Belleville to me. The contrast of the warm and cool colors is also very well-placed.  Love it. :)

A little island of light and the security of the sameness of the everyday.   Captured beautifully by your art.   Someone said it earlier, yes!, very French.

The perspective may be a bit wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey; but I think it makes this piece look amazing. It has an almost otherworldly-ness to it. :D

The lady doth protest too much, methinks...
Bitch, bitch, bitch!  We've been waiting so long for you to post something, you could'a tossed paint at a piece of notebook paper, shot it with your cellphone and uploaded it, and we'd be happy.

The style in this one reminds me a little of Gahan Wilson (hey, you could do a lot worse) with a smidgen of Charles Addams.  The details are insane -- from the cord on the old fan to the dusty 'top shelf' bottles.  The bartender is a piece of work ('scuse me while I hurl) with his moray-eel mustache and steampunk blinkers.  He's balanced (figuratively and compositionally) by that bird, which looks like a superannuated canary that consumed a medium-sized dog.  Whole.

Such a sweet slice-of-life (carved, perhaps, with the scary-ass knife plunged into the pillar like it was a ditzy matron's calf) and you're wussing about perspective?  Last I knew, you lived in New Orleans, where no two lines are going to converge, anyway!  (It's the humidity -- warps everything up.)

Well, yes.  If you REALLY study the picture, you'll be able to stop the lines that don't converge.  But honestly... I think it gets pulled off well.  It is not something that you notice when you first look at the piece, which I believe is largely due to your excellent use of value and color.  I really wouldn't sweat it too much.  It's a gorgeous piece and everyone makes mistakes.  It's all about learning and applying what you learn to the next work.

Also clutter is the most awesome best way to fill a space and cover up perspective imperfections.  So kudos to you!
